Recently, at the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Conference, the project "Manufacturing and 10,000-ton Industrialization of High-Grade Polybutene Series Materials Based on Industrial Foundation Technology Innovation" jointly carried out by Dongfang Hongye and Qingdao University of Science and Technology and other units won the first prize of Shandong Provincial Technological Invention Award. This award not only affirms the achievements of the cooperation between the two sides, but also marks that Dongfang Hongye's technological innovation and industrialization capabilities in the field of polyolefin materials have reached a new level.
This project is jointly carried out by Dongfang Hongye and Qingdao University of Science and Technology and other units through the in-depth integration of industry, academia and research, focusing on the research and development and industrialization of new polybutene materials. As early as 2010, the two sides had already begun in-depth cooperation. By undertaking the national "863 Science and Technology Program" projects, they jointly committed to the research and development and industrialization of polybutene technology. The teams from both sides worked closely together and successfully developed a new type of polybutene material with independent intellectual property rights by adopting the bulk precipitation polymerization process. In 2014, Dongfang Hongye completed the construction of the first domestic 10,000-ton SPG continuous process industrial demonstration facility with independent intellectual property rights and achieved stable operation of the facility. The completion of this device marks a crucial step forward in the industrialization of polybutene in China.
This project mainly focuses on core technical challenges such as catalysis, materials, processes, and engineering, achieving breakthroughs in the full-process core technologies of high-end tube materials. It has broken the long-term foreign technological monopoly, filled the domestic gap, and realized the import substitution of key materials, providing strong support for the vigorous development of related industries.
